For more than 8 years of its existence, CS:GO has acquired a huge mass of different items: skins for weapons and characters, stickers, patches, medals and much more. Most of these items can be obtained to this day for a certain merit or price. But there are also objects that are not possible to get for one reason or another.
These things, for example, include improved medals for operations, which could only be obtained by completing the missions of these very operations. You can still get the basic medal of any operation by activating its pass, but it cannot be improved. You can buy operation passes on the WAXPEER marketplace.
The most difficult to obtain items in the game are trophies for participation in Major-events, given to players who have reached the playoff stage. Until the second half of 2015, all trophies were radically different from each other in design, but now, Valve has been using the identical design of trophies for participation in majors for more than 5 years, changing only the name of the tournament.
Other items that cannot be obtained by common players are prototype keys and operation passes, as well as coins for creating maps added to the game. They are issued to third-party content developers as a commendation from Valve. FMPONE, the creator of the Cache and Subzero maps, has a fairly large number of such items.
There were also erroneously released prototypes, such as the prototypes of the EMS Katowice 2014 Major capsule, which were in the inventories of three former professional CS:GO players: Skadoodle, AZK and ANGE1. There was also an erroneously issued prototype of the Operation Bravo case, which has now been removed from the inventory of its sole owner. Real Bravo cases can be bought profitably on CS:GO and DOTA 2 marketplace, WAXPEER.
All kinds of awards from past events can also be attributed to the now inaccessible items. For example, 5,000 bonus experience to rank in the game and stars of Operation Shattered Web, as well as the Berlin Major tokens, which provided access to a souvenir pack from any match in this tournament. All these items (with the exception of additional experience) can no longer be used but can be stored as a memory of this or that event in your inventory.
